After reading The Promise: Part 1, I was inspired to make some Toph sketches. Coz she's so awesome.

Voodoo

I was in the mood of sketching a horse and I came across a very appealing design of a demon-horse named Voodoo by a very amazing artist on Deviantart.

I started with a sketch first..


And here is the final image.

As you can see, I changed the pose a little when I started painting the horse. The front legs looked long and weird so I make it like he is trotting. Also, Voodoo is trotting on a puddle of lava.

Sneak-peek of The Promise:Part 1

Guess what came in the mail today? That's right folks. It was the comic I had been wanting since the last few months, Avatar The Last Airbender's The Promise:Part 1. While I haven't read the comic yet, I can tell you that it starts RIGHT after the part where the TV series ended. With Aang and Katara kissing and all. We even get to see some panels of the ending so that those who forgot about the ending can refresh their memories. Or maybe you can stare at Aang and Katara kissing. Whatever. I am just SO excited to read the comic. Im trying to avoid reading it right now. Must read it at night.
Anyway, here is a sneak-peek of the pages you will see in the comic. I have tried not to click too many pictures and spoil it for those who still haven't received it.

I ordered the comic from Flipkart. The delivery date was supposed to be 8th March '12 but I got it so soon. I'm so happy :')
Oh and I bought the comic for Rs. 476.

Cosplay and the 2nd Indian Comic Con

I am a member of DeviantArt, an online community for creative people and almost everyday I get to see pictures of people dressed up as their favorite characters. It is an art called Cosplaying. It is amazing to see how much effort these people put to make the dresses and to make sure it looks exactly like the character's costume. Cosplaying hasn't been very well known in India, but the Indian Comic Convention is changing this. The 2nd Comic Con took place from 17th to 19th Feb at Dilli Haat. I was amazed to see the amount of people who cosplayed. Around a 100 I am very sure. Even I cosplayed. It is such an exhilarating experience. You feel like a celebrity, posing for photographs, people wanting to click pictures with you, people trying to guess what character you are playing. It is so much fun.

Where Eagles Dare

Hello friends! I've been gone a long time. Things have been very hectic at office and I had been attending some events happening in my city. Oh, and gaming. Fine, mostly gaming. Anyway, here is a background painting I did some time back because I am horrible at making backgrounds and need to practice. No reference was used for this. I had planned on making a dragon or a gryphon, but I settled for a small eagle in the distance. Hope you like it!
